Top Two...

By popular demand (and force from friends), my top two Christmas presents are going to be talked about in this post!

(I will probably do a overview kind of post for everything I got but for now I will just do these...)

Zoeva Rose Gold Luxury Brush Set
Urban Decay Naked 1

Oh. My. Bloody. Flippin. Nora.

Where have I been living all this time? Under a rock? I am SO glad that I asked for these as they are probably my favorite things in my whole room at the moment!

So the brush set first, If you haven't already heard from every single blogger in the world how amazing these brushes here is another rave from me. These brushes are the only kit you need, and for £40ish they are a total bargain! I asked for these from my granny, who wasn't too sure about spending that amount on brushes. However I knew I would love them and she wanted to spend that much anyway so she was happy to buy them! and I am SO grateful for it as it means that I can now apply my makeup with brushes that don't malt or scratch your face off! My favourite brush is the liquid liner one, purely based on how tiny and cute it is!!!
Other than that I am in love with the fluffy eyeshadow brush which makes eyeshadow blending a dream! As you guys probably know,
Im no makeup expert, but im getting to know the basics and this
brush kit gave me the best possible starting point for applying! If there is one downside to these brushes it's the plastic packaging that they come in that can pull some of the bristles downwards, but that can be easily rectified if you rip them off (gently) to take the plasticky non substantial bit off. I would definitely recommend this set to a friend and that means anyone reading this too!

Now, onto the eyeshadow palette. I honestly can not believe I have never tried this before! The absolutely stunning velvety fuzzy packaging which I didn't expect was a massive bonus, and the I saw that stunning half baked colour, out of all the colours available (which you can see above) half baked is my complete favourite and from this day on, I won't be going to any day out without it! The other colours are beautiful too, my faves including Virgin (for
hi lights) and dark horse or smog for the crease and cut crease. I also love the slightly pinky shades that you can add to give a slight shimmer! Another thing about this palette which gives it a cut above the rest is the surprisingly unbreakable mirror! I have dropped thee palette and it didn't break, come to mention it, neither did the shadows! It's totally worth the money, at 30ish it's  such a bargain as these shadows will last an looong time! So there it is, my ultimate recommendation for urban decay naked palette!

So thanks everyone for reading! I hope I have given you and
insight into these products and I hope my opinions helped you make the decision weather to buy these or not!

Review - Bare Minerals Top Picks

Friday was probably the best day of my life.
Ever.
I fell in love with fashion shows.

When I was there I bought way too much stuff, from jackets to headphones! But that's for another post, I also bought the bare minerals top picks set for an amazing £20 and worth over £100! Right baargineerr!

(oh and excuse the bit of brown fluff in these pictures that looks kind of disgusting! Haha!)

The kit includes:

A foundation brush, super soft and applies like a dream!

A foundation, amazing coverage and not even super matte! Nice and dewy however not too sloppy and super pretty finish!

A bronzer, beautiful color although hard to apply as its a loose powder, personally I prefer compact bronzers as you can control the amount of powder without wasting any by tapping loads off!

A light pink sparkly eyeshadow, With very fine sparkles, looks just like fairy dust! Beautiful light pink color and perfect for partys! Not sure how I will make it work though, as it has quite a childlike finish, I need to have a eye shadow blending practice session!

A dark purple/ grey/ black sparkly eye shadow, same applies for this to be honest, its beautiful but just hard to work with as its loose.

Neutral lip shade lipstick, pretty color but dosn't smell too great, kind of waxy. But gives great definition to lips!

A-Level Decisions!

More than once recently, I have stopped to consider my life. I know this sounds strange but little people realize the amount of pressure that year 11 students are actually put under. With the stress of looming exams building up on top of choosing what your new pathway will be, it is important to consider where and what your doing and why your doing it. So  I have, and I have decided on my 4 A Level options!

Art and Design and Textile design

I have decided on taking art and design and Textile design as they are something I intend to peruse as a career later in life. Preferably Interior/Fashion. I also really enjoy it and find it super relaxing! This is SOOOO important that you enjoy your subject as it makes the work you do so much more worthwhile!

Photography

Imagine how much this will improve my blogging photo skillz! I am extremely interested in knowing how to take a good photo and I am really looking into fashion photography and am super exited!

Media

Honestly, I wouldn't have taken or even looked into this if i didn't have to, but once I found out I had no choice but to choose a fourth option, it was really a no brainer that it would be media or film studies that I would choose. I am interested in everything in this industry and love the idea of all of the editing! The only thing that had previously made me discount it was the theory but I guess its interesting and well I think it will be great!

So thanks for reading guys!
What were/are/will be your A level options?

Music we love #1

Today my Spotify premium trial ran out. What the flip happened to the days when I couldn't care less about any music unless it was on the radio and now, well, in the words of Miranda Sings, 'Ya rite...'. Now I have to pay for it.   Damn.
Basically school would not be survivable without my trusty pair of head phones and the all of the brillopads artists/bands that live on my phone. This is just a few of the following artists that i'm about to scroll through and mention.

wow what a swarve transition ;)

Ariana Grande
Well Who dosn't love her high notes and her baby face. She is amazing. Great songs, Great voice, great videos and great personality. The package!

MIKA
And when MIKA teams up with Ariana Grande it turns out to be the best thing since sliced bread. And his other songs aren't too shabby either! Haha I'm just kidding they are incredebobs.

Alex Day
Yes I'm aware of the accusations against Alex Day and totally am not ok with that but I can't lie, Good morning sunshine is a great song and will always brighten my day!

Banks
Oooh The coolness of this lady.

Beyonce
Ooooohh The sass of this lady.

Bombay Bicycle Club
Chill songs for a chill night. Bombay Bicycle Club will always remind me of my grandparents in Devon as they also love the band!

George Ezra
More chilled vibed. Also very happy! If you havent heard of him already I suggest you go and have a look now! (After you've finished reading this post of course!)

Gorillaz
Gorillaz are such a trip down memory lane for me as my parents have always listened to them. Recently rediscovered and certainly not regretted!

Iggy Azelea
Who dat Who Dat.

Magic!
Who doesn't love a sprinkle of magic in their life. Especially if its in the art form of Canadian style reggae pop. ( I had no idea that was a thing either, haha)

(and I could not miss this one out (not mine) check it out for the lols)

MKTO
"Ooooohhh girl your'e shining, like a 5th avenue diamond...." stop me, stop me now. I can rap this song like bloody Eminem :D

Neon Trees
Oh yes I do like me a bit of those neon trees, whoever heard of them?! Seriously though, I cant even describe the brilliance of every single ounce of every song they have ever made. ever.

 San Cisco
Ditto. In fact times that ditto by 100 and that doesn't even come close to these aussie geniuses.

Troye Sivan (TRYXE)
Proud times one hundred.

By music we love, I mean music that I currently love that I can hopefully pass on to you guys! Then I will become we and that's ultimately the dream right?

Right.

Thanks for reading!

Photography~Modern Day Alice

Hi Everyone!

Photography project: Modern Day Alice (Before editing)

My current textiles project is 'Alice in Wonderland' themed, and I have decided to do some photography over the weekend, and this is how they turned out. I will be editing them and will do a blog post om that too but I was quite happy with the results and I've not done a post in a while!

So the meaning of 'modern day Alice' ( title of the group of photos) is basically young girls in this day and age that are judged of left alone for being different. Alice would have been judged after falling 'down the rabbit hole' for telling lies/ going mad, and these days, going mad isn't and good as the book suggests. There's a part of me that doesn't want to believe that  Alice would be bullied and have no friends these days but i'm convinced that would have been exactly what would have happened. Even though this is a beautiful 9 year old girl (my little sister modeling 'Alice') it would really make no difference and for being 'mad' it would not be a happy place for her to be. So in these photos she reverts to day dreaming, playing alone and reading.
Hope you like these pictures!

~Alice lying on the grass, a well known part of the book/ film where she is reading the book next to her big sister and falls asleep, and that's where the adventure begins....

 ~Exploring

~At home she is left alone ,daydreaming and wishing for the next time she will visit 'Wonderland'

So thanks for taking the time to go through these photos and I hope they will inspire you!
Also, it would be sugh a help if you could comment the kinds of editing would look good, I was thinking colour splashes on some, black and white others but I'm still not totally sure, so comment your thoughts, I would appreciate it!

Thanks for reading!
